If I remember rightly, Hanley was going to (Blackburn?) in the summer but didn't for some reason, probably injury. Even when he's been anywhere close to being fit DF won't play him, so I totally agree if he doesn't start tomorrow then why keep him. As for Heise, why buy him and not play him either, so must be a very poor signing, trainer or wtf.

Good God he's selected Hanley. I take it all back, well some of it!

1-0 at half time, poor defending by Wolves but a nice finish from Cantwell, Pukki could of had a couple and Tettey hit the post, we've been the much better side and should be much more than one goal up

Hanley has had pretty much nothing to do in his return, I seem to remember Wolves having one effort that was hit straight at Krul

Keep it up boys

2-1 to Wolves, ball bounces around before falling to an unmarked Jimenez about 8 yards out, it's been coming in the second half to be honest

Don't know what they do to our lot at half time, but we are incapable of playing well for two halves. First half excellent imo particularly Buendia, but second half should have stayed in the dressing room. Buendia kept trying but the rest seemed to lose confidence as soon as Wolves scored. I don't and never will understand subs in the 85th minute, how can they be expected to have an impact. Very disappointing after that 1st half.

Coulda, shoulda, won, but didn't .Pukki was good, but bloody woeful in front of goal, needs to sharpen up his wellies, he had some super chances. Buendia was superb, took a real amount of stick.Cantwell playing well After such a long time out, I thought Hanley did ok. Real crap defending for goals again

Yeah have it on pretty good authority Heise will be sold first opportunity we get in January. Don't think he even trains with the first team any more. Been a couple of incidents with his attitude.

Wasn't able to go today due to work, but the fact we just cannot kill teams off is costing us. If home games ended at half-time then we'd have the 4th best home record in the league and would have 8 extra points, but that's 3 home games in a row now where we've thrown away a half-time lead. Real shame as well because it sounds as if we were fantastic for the first 45. If we could just get a 2 goal lead in any of these games then we'd be so much better off, but lack of quality is killing us.

6 points adrift now. We simply HAVE to beat Villa on Boxing Day. Villa are dire at the moment, even more so than us, and if we lose then it's really difficult to see a way back for us.

Just one of those classic games yesterday when you were not surprised Wolves equalised and took the lead. They were on top and we were hanging on.

McLean and Cantwell had run out of steam and weren't offering the movement they had earlier on. Hanley was knackered as well.

Thought Byram did very well again. Not sure anyone defends better than him.

Despite not finding the net (when he clearly should have) Pukki's movement was really quite superb. He may only end up being here a couple of seasons but this guy is as good as they come.

Just not good enough. But Farke comes in for some criticism here, Todd had the absolute game of his life, but completely ran out of steam after about 70 minutes and needed replacing with Onel. Also you know when you are at a a game and you can just feel us losing our grasp of it, and you know a goal is coming, that. If I can see this why can't Farke?

Also making a triple substitution has never worked anywhere ever.

As good as I have seen us first half, Buendia absolutely unplayable at times.

So DF says we missed a lot of chances, but that didn't lose us the game. We were 1-0 up and thats a winning position, three points. Simply put, we lost because we conceded twice.

If the club manager can't accept that, we will be in the championship come August.

To be fair, he isn't wrong. Had we gone in 3 nil up at half time it would have been a totally different game.

If these guys are running out of steam after 70 mins, why does he wait until the 85th minute to make subs? That is just plain bad management. If we'd gone 3 up by half time of course it would have been a different game, but we didn't so it's irrelevant. Anyway with our defence who's to say we wouldn't have leaked 3 goals in the second half.

No Morty, we were winning the game 1-0, it shouldn't be losing games when we're leading at half time.
To quote David Freezer -
Daniel Farke's team have had the lead in five of their last six games but somehow emerged with just five points from a possible 18.

Its not acceptable that it continues to happen. We have to be more professional and pragmatic to convert winning positions into points.

It is patently obvious that we aren't good enough defensively to defend a lead for 45 minutes against a very good team. So we either sell all our defenders and get better ones, or we score more goals.

Take your pick.

Do we believe that defenders individually or the defence as a unit are improving and responding to coaching 'training on'.
Thats the third option, coaching and tactics.
There are many players who don't get a game / might get moved on

Morris
Idah
Amadou
Thompson
Leitner
Vrancic
Roberts
Heise
Husband
Raggett
Famewo
Oxborough

Probably not a complete list but obviously some room for manoeuvre regarding selling players and bringing in some new.

One of the main issues is that we are, physically, not a tall team. You can coach till you are blue in the face, but if someone can jump 3 or 4 inches higher than you at a set piece, you're done.

Which is also a fairly good reason that we zonal mark, rather than man mark.
