Is three points the minimum? I think if we are going to establish ourselves as the best club in this division then it needs that old chestnut "momentum" to surface again. We think we have enough good players even if there is debate about the manager. So I think it needs not only a good performance but a result on Saturday to revive our fortunes which although stunted at the moment are not beyond revival. And a good performance after a good thumping is the best way to start that momentum.Given the run Forest have been on recently, i can't help but feel that this is another classic case of, "And along come Norwich". Really hope I'm wrong on this.
Adams needs to make some tough decisions in defence and wide left remains a problem, especially if Lafferty is unlikely to start.
Time to become difficult to beat and get three points on the board.
Mind you, isn't it strange that a few short weeks ago we were all extolling the playing squad as talented, covered in every position and probably the best in this division.Need to win this one. Even a draw probably won't be good enough after the drumming we received mid-week, especially when you consider that Forest are on a worse run than we are.
Team:
RuddyMartin Turner Miquel OlssonO'Neil TetteyRedmond Howson LaffertyJeromeDidn't watch the game on Tuesday, so it's hard to judge, but Whittaker desperately needs to be dropped. Hard to drop one of Howson, O'Neil or Tettey as they were all excellent against Bolton. Redmond has to start, and it seems that Lafferty is our best option in left midfield at the moment. I would also keep Jerome in the team ahead of Hooper, simply because of Jerome's 2 goals last week, but Hooper is pushing for a start now.
Don't even wanna predict the score for this as it could go either way. I think I'm more confident of a win than a defeat, but I'm still not really sure.
Put him in beside Lafferty. Lafferty is a lot of things but one of them is a goal scorer. Get Grabban + Lafferty to work off each other in a more central role and it could be worth seeing what happened. In saying that I'd like to see Hooper get a start.I have yet to be convinced over the goal scoring efficiency of Grabban. He scored a rather weird collection of goals early on, but seems to offer very little now. Whether it is because of the way we play, or some deficiency in his technique, I don't know, but if we play only one striker it has to be Jerome, but I hope that he is pushed by Hooper.
Forest are a little like us, in having a weak defence, but a reasonable attack.Adams has to discard personal loyalties and pick the strongest defence we can muster, with Tettey to play in front of them. Sadly, I think that Whittaker is not up to it, and whatever the manager may think Martin is the only other RB. The main problem must be deciding who plays in the centre with Turner. Hooiveld is the most experienced, but is rather slow. Ditto Cuellar. Is Iggy good enough? If we can plug the gap for a week or two, we shall have Bennett back, which I find reassuring.
If Forest's problem at the back relates to dealing with pace, give them plenty to contend with - Redders and even Josh as well, and with Jerome in the centre, with Howson to prompt them. O'Neill is a little slow, but he has nous and can deliver a good set piece. In the absence of Wes and Vidas, there doesn't seem a lot of choice, unless someone does extra well in training.
I went on the english link on Wiziwig and it was showing Leeds vs Blackpool. So clickes on the arab link instead. It's a great link though, hasn't frozen once and a good picture.wiziwig is in english
