We have played the diamond twice this season, and lost both times. It doesn't make any sense at all sticking with it. Redmond is our only threat from midfield and yet he's left out. I like the fact Cuellar is included, but Martin at centre back is still completely illogical. And 3 wingers on the bench is also a bit ridiculous. I was gonna say it's a bit strange not having any centre midfielders on the bench, but I suppose we don't have any left that aren't starting.

Really strange team selection. If we don't win this then Adams absolutely needs to go.

He's needed to go for about a month now, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I doubt the board will do anything.

Malky Mackay is no mug and will take advantage of our lack of width, Adams has made this easy for him. Is Maloney playing? He'll have a field day if he is.

The 3 of Maloney and the two Maccas looks decent on paper.

McLean, McManaman, Maloney..... playing off a big man who can hold the ball up. On paper it is difficult to see anything other than a Wigan win, but then again Malky hasn't had a win yet so maybe confidence is an issue there just as it is here.

Bit cringeworthy to hear the City fans singing "its off to the Premier we go".

Can we hold this lead for longer than 5 minutes?

Created by Hooper there.

This Hooper & Howson thing we have going on now may save our season?

Great hold up play Hooper there as well. Good start.

Oh Jerome! Needed to do better there.

That was possibly the lamest shot I've ever seen by Jerome there, must have mishit it surely? I could have done better than that and that's saying something

Have you all got this dreadful cameraman who seems intent on zooming in far too much?

Some good play by us in this opening 15 minutes, has to be said. Hooper and Howson in particular looking very tidy.
