A combination of bad luck and horrendous individual mistakes have already cost us a lot of points this year. I have to say that our tendency to start games on the back foot is becoming a bit of a pattern.

If we lose against West Ham you probably won't be able to hear me for all the rest of the booing. I hope for his sake it goes well but it won't be the first time the crowd have signaled that enough's enough and sadly it won't be the last. Every manager's time is strictly limited, even Lambert realised that and It will be no different for AN.

I just don't see how we are going to get 15 to 17 points in 13 games under this manager or any other manager.
Right now I feel as if Alex Neil shouldn't be the manager of Norwich City, but I don't see how any manager could get us out of this mess now.
If we are going to try and appoint a Houdini to pull off a great escape then it needs to be now or never, stupid giving somebody 5 games like they did Adams, they'll need the whole bakers dozen.

David Moyes would do no better, and his brand of football is dire. He's also shown himself to be pretty delusional RE his time at United. I'm not sure if I want AN, but I don't know. Need to think on it a while before a kneejerk reaction. We've been dire, but we've got the points we've got somehow, so we are capable of doing the business under AN.
Today really stings though. You always think you'll get used to it supporting Norwich, but you never do.

OK I am seriously depressed this evening but.....
The board has just backed AN with circa £20m in the transfer window. Since then we have had one "expected"result and one really bad one. So do they act on just one bad result?
I no longer have an appetite for junking a manager when short term results are not going our way. Let's face it that will always happen for a club of our resources. Yes we could change manager, but there comes no guarantee of survival with that. And I just get the feeling that in 12 or 24 months we will be back here again.
Alternatively we could try a different model of backing the guy who got us here in the first place. Accept relegation as a real possibility, if not a probability, and give him the opportunity to build for the future. Yes it's a different model but long term it might just break us out of this circle of sacking managers when it starts to go wrong and ending up in the same place.
After all we know he can set up a team to play attractive football, we know he can deliver success in the championship, so why not stick.
I really hope that Ricky is wrong about the crowd turning. How about backing a guy whole heartedly with a view that the long term outcome might just be better than knee jerk reactions.

Hugely pissed off this evening, but have to say Sussex has got it spot on for me.
if you want to build something to stand the test of time you have to give it some time to create solid foundations.
i still think AN is learning - but the hardest bit of being in this league is that you just don't get any space or time to learn. My preference would be to stick with AN, but I am worried about what might happen at Carrow Road next time out if we start as slowly as we have been doing recently. Bearing in mind I will be there with a 9 year old and a 5 year old I could really do without some of the vitriol that we know is just around the corner.
confidence is clearly low, and the run of fixtures coming up in March is horrible...this could get worse before it gets better

I agree with sticking with him for the long term.
Hes been let down by players on the pitch and the lack of a recruitment team/drive in the summer (I find that lack of recruitment team incredible).
Not to say he hasnt ever made a mistake, but I personally think they have been few and not responsible for where we are.
We have a crop of potential youngsters coming through, a manager who has a reputation for working with youth, knows the championship.
As for this season, i think we will be relegated, but I would go for three at the back and wingbacks, the board also need to come out and state they are backing their man whatever happens if you want to avoid hostility at carrow road.
Ps, we need a completely new spine to our team, too many scarred players.

Completely agree.
I think we will go down this year but that does present an opportunity to introduce some of the youth we have out on loan, maybe not as starting players initially but certainly off the bench. Louis Thompson, the Murphs, Toffolo. Back int he Championship AN would have the space and quality to go back to more attacking football and hopefully develop his brand.
